This is a first for me... I've never created a blog site before, so be patient while I learn! We have been so touched by everyone's interest in Liliana and our journey to bring her home. In order to more easily share information with our friends and family, I've decided that this blog will be a great tool! Over time, I will share with all of you our adoption timeline, some of our thoughts about the adoption process, and (most importantly!) pictures and stories about our beautiful girl, Liliana Rose Marie. Check back often.... I will do my best to keep this site updated with our current information.

- September 1, 2007 - Arrived in Chicago with Lili!!!
- August 27, 2007 - PINK Appointment at the US Embassy
- August 12, 2007 - Gotcha Day! Krista and Lili were united forever!
- August 3, 2007 - File submitted to the US Embassy for PINK!
- August 3, 2007 - Passport photo taken.
- August 2, 2007 - New Birth Certificate issued.
- July 23, 2007 - Adoption Decree signed by Birthmother.
- July 22, 2007 - File approved by PGN.
- June 14, 2007 - File resubmitted to PGN.
- June 13, 2007 - File KO'd (kicked out) of PGN.
- May 24, 2007 - File submitted to PGN.
- May 19 - 27, 2007 - Moses, Krista & Max are going back to Guatemala for another visit trip!
- May 20, 2007 - Received Preapproval from the US Embassy in Guatemala City.
- April 19 - 22, 2007 - Krista & Grandma Lois went to Guatemala to visit Lili and her foster family!
- April 9, 2007 - File was approved by the judge and social worker from the Family Court.
- April 2, 2007 - Received DNA results - it's a MATCH.
- March 22, 2007 - DNA test and Birth Mother interview
- March 3 - 9, 2007 - Moses, Krista & Max went to Guatemala for a second visit trip.
- March 1, 2007 - Dossier translated to Spanish. Attorney filed our POA in Guatemalan court and submitted us to Family Court.
- January 27, 2007 - Received documents from Guatemalan Consulate (allows us to submit our file to Guatemalan Attorney.)
- January 19, 2007 - The saddest day of our lives... we had to leave Liliana in Guatemala with her foster family (they love her and care for her VERY WELL!)
- January 14 - 19, 2007 - Moses, Krista & Max met and stayed with Liliana in Guatemala
- January 10, 2007 - Received DNA Authorization
- December 15, 2006 - We received news of our BEAUTIFUL ANGEL, Liliana Rose Maria (aka Gladys Patricia)
- December 5, 2006 - Gladys Patricia was born in Chimaltenango, Guatemala
- September 5, 2006 - After receiving I-171H from Immigration, officially on the waiting list for a daughter!
- May - July 2006 - Gathered dossier documents (required to apply for a child)
- June 2006 - Completed Home Study and Social Work requirements
- May 2006 - Signed with FTIA

She is absolutely beautiful! Thanks so much for sending me the link for this! I know I will be in touch frequently as we work together to bring Liliana home but this is such a wonderful way to get to know you better outside of the work relationship! I'm here for anything you need!
I am so blessed to have Lili as a grandaughter. I can't wait to be able to hold her and shower her with hugs and kisses. She is so beautiful and will be such a wonderful addition to our family.
One thing is for sure - she won't be underloved.
